The Colombian singer received no sort of farewell from her former partner, Gerard Pique, and his family while leaving the Catalan capital. The couple had signed an agreement regarding their separation in December last year. The terms stipulated allowed for Shakira to keep full custody of her children, while the former Spanish defender kept their family house in Barcelona.
There was no emotional goodbye for the pop star, to who her father-in-law reportedly handed an eviction notice through e-mail. Shakira hurried out of Barcelona following health scares for her father, William Chadid. Chadid had a terrible fall last year and has been in and out of hospitals since. According to recent reports, Shakira’s mother has also been rushed to a hospital with a blood clot.
The couple reportedly had a call for a final goodbye. Shakira explained her decision to move at the start of the call, citing her father’s doctor’s message regarding his health. Pique told her he was made aware of her father’s condition by the press. The Colombian singer then reminded him that two weeks ago she had received a letter signed by his father, Joan Piqué. The call ended in the middle of a lot of tension and drama, with an unfriendly farewell, according to the reports.
The Colombian has moved to Miami with her children, Milan and Sasha. The three are now hoping to start a new chapter in their lives away from Barcelona where the two boys have spent their whole lives.
