“Different Breed” – 40-year-old Zlatan Ibrahimovic flaunts his shredded physique after signing a new contract extension with AC Milan

Even though Zlatan Ibrahimovic didn’t feature much of last season due to injuries, there is no doubt about the impact that the Swedish striker has had in his team winning their first Scudetto in 11 years.
Even at 40, Zlatan has one of the most lethal strikers in Italy and in Europe. Since joining the Rossoneri back in January 2020, the player has scored 36 goals and provided 11 assists in 74 games for the club.
The player is still not done in Italy. He recently signed a new 1-year contract extension with AC Milan keeping him at the club until June 2023. Although, he will earn just €1 million in guaranteed salary with some perfrmce-based addons. He even posted on social media to show off his new physique as he prepare to take on the new season, captioning it “Different Breed”.

However, AC Milan will have to wait until the end of 2022 to witness the vintage striker on the pitch again. Since his knee injury that he suffered in May, the player decided to undergo surgery only after the season ended.
The player will now take around 6-8 months to fully recover and get back in action. Until then AC Milan has signed a new young striker who can take over the reins from Zlatan and Olivier Giroud once they retire or leave the club.
The new striker is none other than Divock Origi who the club signed on a free transfer from Liverpool this Summer. AC Milan will have a mountain of work this season as they prepare to defend their title against a strengthening Juventus and Inter Milan.
