Jadon Sancho has been the center of controversy after a fallout with Manchester United gaffer Erik ten Hag. The £73 million winger has been isolated from the first team after things went south with the United Boss. Following the incident, Sancho posted on social media. The player claimed that he was being made a ‘Scapegoat’ by the manager after Ten Hag called him out in public for his bad training sessions. Speaking on the incident, Dimitar Berbatov took a ‘dig’ at Sancho.

Berbatov said that a player that takes this long to resolve conflicts, ‘has overestimated his own value to the club’. He said that United should sell Sancho and get rid of him if he does not apologize soon. Further, Berbatov said that Sancho should look to resolve whatever it is quickly.

The former United legend also added that Cristiano Ronaldo could ‘afford’ such a conflict since he had won everything with the club. “When it’s Ronaldo, it’s different as he’s achieved everything,” Berbatov said. Meanwhile, Sancho is yet to win trophies with the club.

Berbatov also blamed Manchester United management for prolonging the issue. He said, “The club is also responsible for making the player feel comfortable. As well as for providing the right environment.”

Barcelona identify Jadon Sancho as Felix’s replacement

FC Barcelona have reportedly shown an interest in signing 23-year-old Jadon Sancho. The Manchester United man has had a fall from grace after a tussle with the manager. The youngster is very much out of favor with Ten Hag and a return to first-team football is in the balance. With an uncertain return and no first-team football, a move to Barcelona may benefit both parties.

Barca did wonderful business in the summer transfer window the Catalans will aim to build on the same by bringing in Jadon Sancho. The Englishman can operate on either side of the wing and will be a good fit for Xavi’s system. The club will try and bring in Sancho in 2024. Joao Felix is set to leave the club at the end of this season, and if his move is not made permanent then Sancho is a viable replacement choice.

However, Sancho is on high wages at the Old Trafford. So, Barcelona may find it difficult to convince United with an offer to part ways with the club. Sancho was considered one of the best youngsters during his time at Dortmund. A move away from the club may be the key to a career revamp.
