In a humorous turn of events, Domino’s Pizza has advertised a delightful sign all around the Craven Cottage ahead of the Chelsea vs. Fulham game. The match took place at Fulham’s home ground. The Blues took an easy dub, winning the game 2-0. However, the hilarious marketing move by Domino’s created an added layer of heated discussions and excitement among the fans before the game.
Domino’s, the global pizza brand has been widely popular for its unique and creative marketing campaigns. The sign was strategically put on to banter the Chelsea fans. The sign said, “Pizzas Sold Since Chelsea’s Last League Goal – 9892022.” The lighthearted step from Domino’s has set social media on a frenzy. But, ironically one can argue that the sign must have boosted the morale of the players to score twice in a single game.
Chelsea has been on a poor run since the start of the 2023/23 Premier League season. But with a win at Craven Cottage the Pride of London might feel alive once again. So, the banter was on the cards, but Domino’s is the unlikeliest of sources. However, most importantly, the belief seems to be back but it is still too early to call the shots. Many fans still think this victory is a fluke just like it happened against Luton Town. A one of!
