Donny van de Beek has been struggling for minutes ever since he joined Manchester United. In three and a half seasons, he had only 62 appearances, with most of them coming off the bench. He went on a loan to Everton as well but played only seven times. But now it looks like things will be better for the Dutchman.
Fabrizio Romano has just announced that van de Beek will be going to Germany to play for Eintracht Frankfurt. The deal is a loan till June, with Frankfurt giving a loan fee. Along with that, the loan deal also has a buy-out clause, which is worth €15 Million only. Although the buyout isn’t mandatory, the team could purchase the midfielder.

Manchester United are struggling, with the team out of all European football and stuck in 6th place. With van de Beek not starting over any of their midfielders, a move away makes sense for the 26-year-old.
The winter/January transfer window opens on 1st January, just two weeks away and it looks like he will finally get his much-deserved move away from Manchester United. In the current season, he has had 2 appearances with only 21 minutes on the field.
Fans relieved as Donny van de Beek finally leaves Manchester United
When Donny van de Beek broke into the Ajax first team in 2017, he was looked at as one player with loads of potential. He played an integral part in Ajax’s Champions League run during the 2018/19 season, where they beat Real Madrid and Juventus, but lost to Tottenham Hotspurs in the semi-finals.

Ever since he joined Manchester United, his career had a sort of a downfall as he wasn’t getting minutes on the pitch. Many fans were delighted with him finally getting a move away from Manchester United. Some said they were happy he was finally leaving the dead club, referencing their poor form. Meanwhile, others said his talent was too good to be dropped and were excited to see how he would fare in Germany.

What a wasted career he’s had with us and it’s unfortunate as well. He’s a great talent, a great lad but just simply wasn’t used.

Of course injuries didn’t help or somewhat played a part but damn what a player he could or better yet, should have been for Manchester United
If van de Beek does leave for Frankfurt on the 2nd of December, his first game will be an away trip to RB Leipzig. As of now, Frankfurt are 6th in the Bundesliga and has qualified for the round of 16 in the UEFA Europa Conference League.
