The Leeds United admin was definitely in for a surprise as the club won 4-1 against Plymouth Argyle in the FA Cup on Wednesday. A post celebrating Wilfried Gnonto‘s opener for the former Premier League side attracted several hundreds of comments, though not in any way related to the game or forward. The caption of the post read “YEEEEESSSSSS!!! WILLY’S ON FIREEEEEE!!!”, as fans drew their own conclusions from it.
Leeds United, who are currently 3rd in the Championship, were playing Premier League football not so long ago, in the 2022/23 season. The side earned a comfortable 4-1 win against Championship side Plymouth Argyle. Wilfried Gnonto, who goes by the name Willy at the club, continued his goal-scoring streak in the 4-1 win. His opener elicited a passionate caption from the Leeds United admin, which was enough for fans to get things started on Twitter.
At the same time, a ‘leaked’ clip of Canadian Rapper and singer Drake had gone viral on the internet. With it being established that the clip was of an explicit nature, it doesn’t need much explanation as to what was shown in the video.
Willy being a slang/colloquial name for one’s p***is, netizens had a field day in the comments section of the post.
Fans have a ‘field day’ with Leeds United’s post
Drake’s leaked clip going viral and Leeds United player Wilfried ‘Willy’ Gnonto scoring a goal on the same day has put football Twitter into a meltdown. The Canadian rapper’s leaked video, which is of an explicit nature is the talk on social media. As Leeds United used Willy in the caption to Wilfried Gnonto’s goal, fans did not let the opportunity pass.
Several images of Drake being annoyed or ‘p*ssed’ were spammed in the comments section. A fan said that this is exactly what Drake ‘said’ in his leaked clip. ‘Drake 2024,’ ‘Drake last night’ and ‘Drake fans rn’ were some of the most laughable comments under the post. Speed also caught strays, for his accidental wardrobe malfunction during a livestream a few months ago.
Others simply pointed out the poor choice of words from the admin and joked about going to the doctor. Many said that one’s ‘willy’ being on fire isn’t a good sign and that they should get it checked. Jokes aside, Wilfried Gnonto has redeemed himself, after back to back goals in games after being on a scoring drought for over fifteen games.
