Endrick, the 17-year-old Brazilian ‘wonderkid’ is no stranger to the spotlight. The Real Madrid-bound youngster was spotted enjoying his time off by appearing at RD Garden to watch NBA Eastern Conference leaders Boston Celtics play. Endrick shared the ‘stage’ with NBA star Jayson Tatum as the duo posed for pictures near the touchline. Pictures of the duo greeting each other and exchanging jerseys have gone viral on social media.

The forward was recently crowned Campeonato Brasileiro Série A champion with Palmeiras. As the club does not play until January 21st, Endrick made good use of his time delving into other sports. He was seen sporting a stylish all-white outfit, completed with a ‘new balance’ beanie and a jacket of the same brand. Prior to the game, the two (Endrick and Jayson Tatum) exchanged jerseys as well.

The two exchanged signed jerseys as Endrick held up Tatum’s #0 and Tatum held the former’s #21 kit. Even though this is not the first time Footballers and Basketball players have crossed paths, the internet did not refrain from expressing it’s excitement. The official Twitter page of Boston Celtics posted their link-up with the caption “Star Power ?“. Several other media outlets have also posted the same.

Real Madrid-bound Endrick is currently enjoying his time off after leading Palmeiras to a second consecutive league title. The 17-year-old recently gave an interview, in which the Brazilian spoke of his early years and a potential move to Chelsea in 2022. The player said; “I was very close to signing. My parents really liked the place as well“. Additionally, his father’s testimony proves that negotiations were at a highly advanced stage.

“They showed us who will help us settle in, where we will live and which school Endrick will go to“, said the player’s father. However, the family was later informed that a €60 million fee for a 16-year-old would ‘inflate the market’. The deal did not go through and Real Madrid secured his signature in a deal amounting to €72 million. Despite all his recent success, Endrick made surprising admissions about his ‘character’.

He admitted that he is a person of reserved nature, which makes his mother and sister think that he is “cold“. Others believe he has a “heart of ice” and makes ‘cold’ decisions. Additionally, he expressed his excitement to join the Spanish giants, and also of a potential link-up with Vinicius Jr. and Jude Bellingham. Endrick will join Real Madrid in July 2024 when he turns 18.
