England National team suffers major blow ahead of 2022 FIFA World Cup

England‘s loss to Italy 1-0 has relegated the team in the League B of the Nations League. The defeat from the other teams and draws have actually paved the path for the Englishmen to move to the League B. The early losses were with Hungary twice and Italy now, and drawn to Germany and Italy once.
The team has hit rock bottom, the relegation would mean that the national team would face second tier and surprisingly would be competing for the title in 2024-25 UEFA Nations League, as only League A would be competing for the title. The teams in Group B would have to focus on promotion.
This means that the Englishmen could come up against teams such as Scotland and the Republic of Ireland rather than the likes of France and Netherlands. Relegation could be a serious dent on qualifying for the Euro 2024. The team must up their game as the FIFA World Cup won’t be forgiving.
England National Team’s fate despite having a stacked team full of talents
The England National team is full of young talented players, when it comes to experience the team is having that as well in the form of Harry Kane. However, the team has still struggled to win a single trophy since 1966. Their trophy drought has been considered unlucky as well by several football pundits.
The team has failed to deliver in this year’s Nations League despite having young talents like, Jude Bellingham, Kyle Walker, Bukayo Saka, and others as well. The talent doesn’t stop here, they have a perfect winger Raheem Sterling powered by Harry Kane, defense is a little weak but having Luke Shaw is sustainable.
With the pace that the team is leading itself it’s going to be a really tough phase as the World Cup won’t spare them, the true test of playing under pressure and composure of the players would be taken, and it would be difficult for the fans to watch their team fall from the standards.
