English national football team set to sing different lyrics during the national anthem following Queen Elizabeth II’s demise: Reports

The whole football world and everybody is in mourning for the great Queen Elizabeth II. Her demise has been a great loss and news of utmost sadness and sorrow to everyone. The football world has tried its best ways to show its respect for Queen Elizabeth II and her departure.

According to reports, the England National Football Team is all set to sing different lyrics during the national anthem following the demise of Queen Elizabeth II. The whole world is showing tribute to her through different methods and now the change in the national anthem is a very considerable change being made.

After Queen Elizabeth II’s reign King Charles took over the royal position. The lines in the anthem were ‘God save the queen’ which is now being amended to ‘God save the king’. The lyrics were only changed once in the last 70 years when the royalty was handed over to Queen Elizabeth II from King George II.

Not many considerable changes are being made in the lyrics or words. Only words that signify gender and Queen is being converted to that of King. Words like ‘she and ‘her’ are being changed to ‘he’ and ‘him’ respectively. Everybody looks forward for the national anthem to be sung and celebrated.

The football world has shown their immense respect for Queen Elizabeth II and her demise. During the match where Manchester United faced Real Sociedad in the English Premier League, both the teams took to halt the game and take one-minute silence for her demise and then resumed the game.

Queen Elizabeth II was an inevitable component of Britain and the whole world. Their family and Queen Elizabeth II herself had a great interest towards the football world and there were reports on which teams they had supported in different leagues. Her demise is also a sad news for the football world.
