Manchester United is set to make Antony 4th signing of the season

After a very dry start to the summer transfer window, Manchester United are making some strides in bringing new faces to Old Trafford. The club have signed talented left-back Tyrell Malacia from Feyenoord while signing Christiano Eriksen for free.

Ajax’s Lisandro Martinez became their 3rd signing and Antony could be the 4th given that the club’s ready a roadblock in contract negotiations with Barcelona’s Frenkie de Jong.

According to reports, Antony’s manager is flying to England to discuss personal terms with Manchester United after the club decided to launch a new £68 million bid for the player once personal terms are negotiated.

Erik ten Hag is aware of the fact that the club needs new signings. In the latest interview, he said, “We need more options, we have to strengthen the squad, even more, we’re looking around but we also need the right players.”

According to The Times, Antony remains Ten Hag’s No.1 pick. However, the club might need to shift priorities if Cristiano Ronaldo manages to find a new club for himself. That would mean that United need a new striker instead of the winger.
