Erik Ten Hag has publicly expressed doubts and concerns over Jadon Sancho’s future at Manchester United. In the post-game interview after conceding a loss to Brighton, when asked about Sancho’s development at the club, Ten Hag publicly cast doubts following his disciplinary conflicts.

The Manchester United manager’s exclusion of the English winger from the playing XI has raised concerns among the Red Devils‘ fans over his role here in the club. Furthermore, the relationship between Erik Ten hag and Jadon Sancho has grown more tense over the past weeks.

The whole drama began when Erik Ten Hag criticized the 23-year-old winger’s performance in their 3-1 defeat against Arsenal. Since his appointment, the Dutchman has implemented several rules and regulations in the club regarding discipline and behavior.

It is not hidden that Ten Hag does not tolerate players questioning his authority, as was evident in the case of Cristiano Ronaldo. Similarly, after publicly criticizing Sancho for his underwhelming performance in training sessions, the player’s subsequent public statement may have pushed his patience to its limits. Consequently, Manchester United released a statement saying Sancho will be put in the training programme away from the main squad.

Now, following all the drama for days and throughout the international break, the defeat against Brighton posed the question of Jadon Sancho yet again. Ten Hag stated, “At the moment, he is not important because he cannot contribute.”

Jadon Sancho is willing to leave Machester United

Jadon Sancho’s future at Manchester United is currently hanging on the thread. But, if the recent statements made by Erik Ten Hag are to be considered then it may be over.

Sancho joined Manchester United on a landmark summer deal worth £73 million from Borussia Dortmund back in 2021. Since then he has been unable to replicate the same form he showcased in Germany. Plus, the injuries have not supported the player in any form either.

Now, with all the drama spiraling between him and Ten Hag it may be best for the player to go away from Old Trafford and revive his career. Even ex-United legend, Rio Ferdinand said the same thing on his podcast ‘Vibe with Five‘. Ferdinand suggested that a move to Saudi is the only viable option for Sancho if he is to go about a revival. He said this before the SPL summer transfer window was open.

But with the talent he possesses, there are a lot of years left in him to expend in Europe. The uncertainty surrounding Jadon Sancho’s future remains a topic of interest for both the loyal supporters and the rival ones.
