Manchester City star wants to go to 'Dreamland'

Erling Haaland’s agent already planning to move him out of Manchester City and crack deal with this big club: Reports

Erling Haaland‘s agent has revealed that they are already planning his Manchester City exit. Rafaela Pimenta, the Brazilian lawyer who took over as agent after the death of Mino Raiola last year, said that moving to Real Madrid is a dream for the Norwegian.

He has netted 33 goals in 33 games for Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City, with 27 goals in just 25 games in the Premier League. Attending the FT Business of Football summit in London, she said, “There is the Premier League, and there is Real Madrid. Real Madrid has something of its own that makes it the Dreamland for the players. Madrid keeps this magic going. It doesn’t have the league competition but it does have the Champions League.”

Real Madrid has a history of wooing Premier League superstars, from the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale to Thibaut Courtois and Eden Hazard. There is even more uncertainty around the Norwegian’s future after multiple reports about a ‘Real Madrid release clause’ in 2024, although Pep denied these claims in a press conference.

There have been several instances in games where he has looked visibly frustrated because no one is looking to play the ball to him. His movement has always been top-notch, which would make the lack of forward passes from midfielders all the more frustrating. However, the presence of Pep Guardiola means that staying at City will always be an attractive proposition.

Erling Haaland’s agent, Rafaela Pimenta praised the Premier League. She commented on how it has come very far in a short span of time, and how it is attractive to watch for fans.

When I started in this business, if I would say to a player ‘I’ll bring you to England’ the first thing they would say would be ‘what did I do wrong? Why don’t you like me? But now, if I ask a player ‘what is your goal?’ he will say the Premier League. He doesn’t say City, Chelsea or Arsenal but the Premier League.” She added, “This is the first time in 25 years that I hear so many players say I want to go to a league, not to a club. This is the place to be for an agent. An agent needs to be where a player wants to be. It’s a fantastic league. It’s so competitive, every game is a challenge, everyone wants to watch it.”

The Premier League has made massive strides since they decided to distribute TV income equally across the division, and it is now a financial behemoth. Dwarfing the money of other leagues, it has attracted criticism from the rest of Europe. La Liga’s corporate director, Javier Tevas accused the Premier League of “doping” in the January transfer window.
