Manchester City star Erling Haaland dismissed the recent rumors that have emerged of him buying an aircraft, as fake news. The Norwegian footballer criticized media outlets for spreading the rumor that he had acquired a $4.39 million Pilatus PC-12.
The 23-year-old forward enjoyed a phenomenal season for Manchester City last year. He won the Premier League, Champions League, and Club World Cup titles. Further, the ex-Dortmund star commands a huge annual salary of £19,500,000, ranking him among the highest-paid football players globally. Considering the wealth and his riches Haaland was linked with a rumor he did not like!
Multiple news outlets in Norway claimed that Haaland, who lives in luxury, has spent millions on acquiring a private jet. But the ‘Viking’ was not one to shy away as he soon dismissed the reports, terming them ‘fake’.
Moreover, the young forward refuted claims that he bought a Swiss-made Pilatus PC-12, slamming the news outlets as ‘clowns’. Erling Haaland shared a screenshot of the misleading news story, warning fans to ‘NOT’ believe in everything that is published about him. Additionally, he shared a screenshot of journalist, Olav Gram Degnes, expressing his frustration with the reporter, accompanied by a clown emoji.
Haaland addressed these ‘fake news’ following Manchester City’s 3-1 win over Burnley, making his first appearance in almost two months after recovering from an injury.

Norwegian superstar Erling Haaland was brought in as a substitute in the 71st minute of Manchester City’s 3-1 win over Burnley. The Citizens no.9 has scored 14 goals this season, despite being sidelined for almost two months, due to a foot injury that he suffered while playing against Aston Villa.
