Manchester City have struck gold with their biggest signing in recent seasons – Erling Haaland. The Norwegian broke multiple goal scoring records in his debut season, snatching the record for most PL goals in a season from Mohamed Salah. His performance so far for City justifies every single penny of his $684,000 per week salary.
While City have the Norwegian under contract till 2027, his recent statement has cast a shadow of doubt on his future at the club. The City No.9 was linked to Real Madrid alongside Kylian Mbappe as Madrid tried to do the unthinkable and bring in them both. While Mbappe to Real Madrid seems all but done barring a last-minute U-turn, Haaland is still very much a City player.

Responding to whether he is thinking of extending with City, the Norwegian gave fans room to think of on his future.
My focus is mainly on the pitch. Lot's of games, two days ago a derby, now the Champion League and Sunday is Liverpool. I think I should focus on that.Erling Haaland at a news conference on Tuesday
The Norwegian is currently on 18 league goals this season and is in pole position to secure another golden boot on the run. Ollie Watkins is next in line, with two less than the City marksman.
Real Madrid President gives witty reply when asked about Kylian Mbappe
Real Madrid are a club known for bringing in the best players from around the globe. From Cristiano Ronaldo to Jude Bellingham and now Kylian Mbappe, the Los Blancos only deal with the best of the best. Real Madrid President Florentino Perez has played a crucial role in orchestrating the signings that have kept the club at the very top of European football.

As the iconic President celebrated his 77th birthday, netizens were treated to a hilarious video featuring Perez. As the club President posed for a picture with a fan, he was asked to bring both Mbappe and Alphonso Davies to the club. His response caught many off guard, while others had a good laugh at it.

The latter has already informed Paris Saint-Germain of his decision to not extend his contract and leave the club at the end of the season. Davies on the other hand, is under contract at Bayern Munich till 2025, but heavily linked to the Spanish capital. Madrid are currently leading La Liga with a five-point lead, that too, with a game in hand!
