“Everybody in England hates Liverpool. Everyone is obsessed with Van Dijk, but he’s not the best defender in the world. Thiago Silva, Marquinhos, and Sergio Ramos are all better than him”, said Richarlison after Guardiola’s comments.

Guardiola commented after the match against Newcastle that Klopp’s side is loved by everyone in England and they want Liverpool to win the cup this season.

He mentioned that Liverpool is one the bests in Europe after they reached the Champions League final but feels that they have a bad record in the Premier League after winning just once in past thirty years. He adds that they will not stop their run for winning the title as they are in a good place to win the cup.

“Of course because Liverpool has an incredible history in Europe. Not in Premier Leagues, they have won one in 30 years, but it’s not a problem at all. The situation is what it is, we have to do nine points, maybe six depending on what happens in the next two games,” said Guardiola.

Now is Wednesday, a real final for us. We go to try to win. Our destiny is in our own hands, we have to think about ourselves. One point, three points, nothing changes”, added the Spaniard.
