In a recent interview on Astro SuperSport, ex-Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov surprisingly highlighted Arsenal midfielder Kai Havertz as an outstanding player whose playing style closely resembles his own. Berbatov commended the German player for his remarkable skills and abilities.

The former Bulgarian international who spent a major part of his career in the Premier League with Tottenham and Manchester United, is known for his exceptional technique and mastery over the ball. Berbatov unexpectedly singled out Kai Havertz for his technique, praising his on-field movements and ball control abilities, noting how closely they align with his own. Additionally, the retired star was addressing a fan query on the channel.

Berbatov said he doesn’t like comparing players. He chose Kai Havertz not because they both played for Bayer Leverkusen. Havertz was criticized before, but now he’s getting praise for playing well. Interestingly, a few weeks ago, Michael Owen mentioned that Havertz’s skills with the ball reminded him of Berbatov.

Berbatov picked Chelsea-linked Napoli forward, Victor Osimhen as a player capable of addressing the Red Devils’ front-line issues.

Faced with a challenging query, the former Bulgarian legend mentioned Victor Osimhen and Harry Kane as options, though he deemed the likelihood of signing both players as highly impossible. He showed support for the current crop of United forwards, suggesting improving their weaknesses to elevate their game.

The Red Devils are expected to be active in the winter transfer window, aiming to offload key players like Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane, and Casemiro. Additionally, they might seek a new forward if Anthony Martial was to leave the club.
