Al-Nassr forward Cristiano Ronaldo faced criticism for making an obscene gesture during the club’s 3-2 win against Al-Shabab in the Saudi PL. The Portuguese skipper was provoked by the rival fans, who chanted the name of his arch-rival, Lionel Messi.

Al-Nassr registered a late 3-2 victory over Al-Shabab, owing to a brace by Anderson Talisca. The Portuguese superstar was also among the goals once again, after he converted a 21st-minute penalty, to allow his team to take a 1-0 lead. The goal marked Ronaldo’s 34th goal this season, in 35 appearances. During that match, the Portuguese responded to Al-Shabab fans chanting Messi’s name, by making an offensive gesture.

The video of his recent antics caught social media by storm. Ronaldo was seen cupping his ear and repeatedly shoving his hand forward near his pelvic area, to make the lewd gesture. The incident occurred immediately after he scored a penalty for Al-Nassr. Moreover, he might reportedly face consequences for the incident. The Saudi Football Federation has launched an investigation, and a decision is pending after examining the evidence.

Furthermore, the 39-year-old Ronaldo faced similar criticism for taking action previously. Just days ago, he was criticized for his behavior during the Riyadh Season Cup. He picked up an Al-Hilal scarf thrown at him from the stands, placed it over his crotch and then threw it back to the fans.
