During the F1 Grand Prix on Sunday, Brazilian football legend Ronaldinho was spotted with South African cricketer Faf Du Plessis. The former PSG player gifted the cricketer his signed jersey from the French club.
The French club is owned by Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar, and as a respectable gesture, including lucrative deals, they invite former icons and legends of the club to such events. Hence, Ronaldinho was present at the Lusail International Racing Circuit for the 18th race of the 2023 Formula One season.
Moreover, the South African cricketer was also captured enjoying the adrenaline rush of the high-speed motorsport event as he recovered from an elbow surgery that he succumbed to earlier. Faf was also captured with Manchester United legend and Inter Miami owner David Beckham.
Du Plessis has represented Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League and has been a critical player for the franchise. Also, he is a South African Cricketer legend, with fans drooling over his strike rates off the ball. Du Plessis is known for his magnificent fielding as well, which is what caused his injury to the elbow.
Meanwhile, Ronaldinho has expressed his likeness for cricket earlier, giving his loyalty to play a match with Saurav Ganguly in Kolkata. He is set to visit India next week, marking a global event in place.
