Meet Ali Al-Bulayhi, Al Hilal‘s Saudi Arabian defender who loves taking on football ‘GOATs’. In a recent Saudi Pro League match, he faced off against Cristiano Ronaldo, making headlines in Al Hilal’s 3-0 win over Al Nassr. Fans even drew parallels to a clash between Lionel Messi and Al-Bulayhi during the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
The 34-year-old defender confronted the former Real Madrid star, after the Portuguese’s mockery of the defender’s antics. Meanwhile, Ronaldo was not at all pleased by the center-backs’s playacting and pretended to ignore his opponent by clutching his hand to his ear. Further, Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr teammate Sadio Mane could also be seen clapping Al-Bulayhi sarcastically. Later on in the game, in the second half, the Al-Hilal defender saw himself sent off.
Al-Bulyahi has a history of clashes with football stars. In a previous incident, he confronted Lionel Messi during Saudi Arabia’s surprise victory over Argentina in the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Taunting Messi, he predicted Argentina’s loss, but they ended up winning the tournament.
Ali Al-Bulyahi’s career could be summed up as that of a player who has managed to win a match against the two ‘greatest footballers of the 21st century’. The video of his bust-up with Ronaldo garnered a lot of responses, as it caught social media platforms by storm.

Ali Al-Bulayhi will now have the historic opportunity to call himself someone, who has emerged victorious against two of 21st century’s greatest footballers, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. On both the occasions, he went into a heated argument with both the football stars.
Meanwhile, the recent video of Al-Bulyahi arguing with Al Nassr superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo was shared on socials. Subsequently, fans referred to the incident by exclaiming that the Saudi star has had a dispute with both the ‘GOATs’ of football.
