Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis gave top European teams interested in Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen a massive transfer blow . The 24-year-old scored for the Paretenopei in their 1-1 tie with Udinese, ensuring their title as Italian Serie A champions for 2022/23.

Aurelio De Laurentiis is a recognised strong negotiator at the transfer table and is extremely straight-forward. Therefore, clubs will be taking his recent words sereiously. “I will not sell Victor Osimhen this summer — no way,” he said after the match against Udinese to Cinque Minuti.

Following Thursday’s title confirmation, the striker also spoke about his future. He said he was only interested in partying for the time being. ”Future? Now I want to savour this historic occasion. ”This is not the moment to consider my future,” he told Sky Italia.

According to many sources in the English and Italian media, De Laurentiis will only consider an offer in the area of €150 million for the forward, while declaring he would not sell and is simply seeking to spark a bidding war that will drive up the price.
