Ever since 2022, Real Madrid have been attempting to get Kylian Mbappe’s services. A club with a history of purchasing the best players in history, they knew they needed to bring the 25-year-old to the Santiago Bernabeu. But his chase for Mbappe’s signature has been annoying their fans for a long time.
With only 6 months left on his contract, Madrid have begun their chase for Mbappe yet again. They decided to give the forward a deadline to make his decision till mid-January, but now it looks like the club has ruled out the forward from their wish list.
According to Marca’s Jose Feliz Diaz, the club has decided to end their pursuit of the forward. There have not been any reports on why they have ended the saga, but Diaz says the move is “almost impossible. This now finally ends a 2-year transfer saga, for which many fans are relieved, but also confused.
Check out their reactions:
As of now, it looks like PSG will extend Mbappe’s contract yet again. In 2022, the forward was close to signing for Madrid but decided to instead extend his contract with the Paris-based club. Nothing is known about his future and only time will tell what will happen to Mbappe. Meanwhile, Madrid are linked with Erling Haaland and Victor Osimhen as alternatives for the French star.
Guti claims Kylian Mbappe has not done anything
Many fans have wanted Kylian Mbappe to wear the iconic white kit of Real Madrid, but the Los Blancos legend claims the club never needed him. Back in April, the Madrid legend claimed the club didn’t need Mbappe as they had Vinicius Jr with them. He praised his improvement and killer instinct as a forward, claiming they already had the player they needed.
Months later, he once again questioned why Madrid needed Mbappe, adding that he had done nothing in his career. He compared him with another Real Madrid legend, Cristiano Ronaldo, who won the Ballon d’Or and Champions League.
When Cristiano arrived, he did so with a Golden Ball and a Champions League under his arm. Mbappe is not comparable to him.Guti on Kylian Mbappe
He further claimed if anyone should be on Ronaldo’s throne, it should be new signing Jude Bellingham. Bellingham has had a great season so far, being the top goal scorer and has stepped up whenever required.
