Casemiro, one of the best performers at Manchester United last season, got brutally trolled on social media on Sunday. The primary reason for all the jokes and trolls is his new haircut, because of which some fans are even comparing him to ‘Nate the Great,’ a character in the renowned TV series, Ted Lasso.
Nate Shelley is portrayed by Nick Mohammed in the fictional TV series. The series also features Jason Sudeikis in the title role of an American Football manager coaching a Premier League side. The show has cameos from real-life footballers like Thierry Henry and features manager Pep Guardiola as well.
Casemiro is set to join Manchester United’s pre-season campaign in the USA. The Brazilian was instrumental in helping United bring the League Cup last year. He joined the Red Devils last season only after winning the Champions League five times with Real Madrid, becoming the second-most expensive signing for a player over 30. He and United will now gear up to a new season with aims for further silverware.

Twitter users took no time to notice the similarity between Casemiro and Nate. The platform was full of jokes targeting the likeness between the two. Other fans pointed out flaws in his haircut and it is safe to say, the majority of the fans did not approve of Casemiro’s haircut.
