Fans around the world lost their collective heads after Lionel Messi posted a picture earlier on Thursday where his leg looks deformed. The Argentine maestro is currently spending his holidays with his wife Antonella Rocuzzo in the Bahamas before joining MLS side Inter Miami.
Fans pointed out Messi’s knees had weird bumps on them which threw them in a worried frenzy. It caused a major uproar among the fans, who had their comments, worries, and theories. Messi’s original post on Instagram was liked by more than 14 million people.
However, despite its slightly odd appearance, there is nothing to worry about in regards to Messi’s knee-caps. Catalan outlet RAC1 provides the information behind the knees. They say that the lumps are simply a result of his inner quadriceps being more developed from the work he puts in. This is a common phenomenon that can be observed in footballers. However, it is not abnormal for the fans to worry because with the number of insulting maneuvers, Messi has pulled off in the past decade, he is bound to make some enemies.
With his vacation in the Caribbean done, Messi will set his sights on Miami. He is set to be unveiled as an Inter Miami player in July 16, with many A-listers expected to be at his welcoming event. Shakira is set to perform at the event alongside Maluma and Bad Bunny. Messi is also set to reunite with former teammate Sergio Busquets at Inter Miami CF.
