Real Madrid defeated Manchester United 2-0 in a pre-season friendly game on Saturday. It was an even match until the end, with both teams creating enough chances to pounce. However, it was Real Madrid who took the win after scoring two audacious goals. The first was by new signing Jude Bellingham, who recently arrived from Borussia Dortmund, and the other by Joselu.

The English midfielder received the ball and then chipped it past Andre Onana to make it 1-0. There have been some murmurs surrounding this, as many people have claimed that this should have been ruled out due to offside. However, the goal was awarded and they successfully took the lead.

There were many chances for both sides after that. Vinicius Jr. could have doubled the lead but his shot was saved by Onana. Marcus Rashford then had the chance to equalize for United but couldn’t time his shot. Eder Militao’s effort was swept off the line. Finally, Madrid extended their lead in the 89th minute.

Lucas Vasquez lofted the ball from the right side of the field with new signing Joselu in the box. The 33-year-old had no one to mark him. He jumped and produced an absolutely sensational bicycle kick to get the ball past Onana. This effort effectively won the game for Madrid. It was heavily praised by fans of both clubs and he received a standing ovation.
