Manchester United moved up to the third spot in the points table after an emphatic victory over Nottingham Forest at the City Ground. This was a much-needed victory for the Red Devils as they are trying to fix a spot for themselves at the UCL next season.
Antony scored the first from close range at the 32 mins mark. And he also assisted the second for Diogo Dalot. The Portuguese filled in at left-back during the match while teammate Aaron Wan-Bissaka was in charge of the right flank. Dalot scored a very modern full-back’s goal in the 76 mins of the game.
Antony was excellent throughout the match. Christian Eriksen who replaced the new starter of Ten Hag, Marcel Sabitzer, was also remarkable. And Bruno Fernandes did show a match-winning performance again. Keylor Navas had a mixed match all throughout. Although he conceived two goals for the Forests. But he also made a few good saves. This includes the outrageous shot he saved from Fernandes.
Forest had a good case for a penalty at 0-0. It was when the ball hit the arm of Harry Maguire. Apart from that aside, Forests can have no complaints. With a tough run-in ahead, they are in serious bother.
