“Jude or Musiala”- Fans share their opinions as the list of 20 finalists for the 2023 Golden Boy Award is released
Fans believe Bellingham and Musiala battle for the prestigious crown.

The twenty-man shortlist for the Golden Boy 2023 has been released, and some of Europe’s best talents are among them. From Bundesliga wonder kid Jamal Musiala to Real Madrid’s big-money signing Jude Bellingham, the list is coveted with big names.
The list also includes Manchester United’s Rasmus Hojlund and FC Barcelona’s Alejandro Balde. Balde was involved in a social media feud with Taylor Swift’s fans after he confessed to not liking her mediocre music. The fans, ‘Swifties’, paraded against him and voted for Bellingham in mass numbers.
Bayern Munich’s Mathys Tel also made the list who has been in stunning form for the club. He recently scored against Manchester United in Bayern Munich’s Champions League encounter, guiding his team to victory.
Another impactful player includes RB Leipzig’s Xavi Simons, who has been resurgent in quality. Only three other players from the Premier League made the list, including Chelsea‘s young prodigy Levi Colwill, Brighton’s Evan Ferguson, and Bournemoth’s Milos Kerkez.

Social media remains divided on the recent shortlist of this year’s Golden Boy. While many fans shared the opinion that the award should unanimously go to Jude Bellingham after his stellar performances. Many were also of the opinion that Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala is a strong contender as well.
But having won the last edition of the same the Bavarian boy would accept handing the reins to his former English compatriot. Now, with Germany, Musiala has shown promise but the recent Bellingham greatness beholds every other thing in the fans’ eyes. Here are some of the reactions:
As the award day edges closer to the final ceremony, excitement arises around the coveted list. Bellingham has already been involved in some record-breaking performances for the Los Blancos by equalling some of Cristiano Ronaldo‘s records and is the frontrunner for the award so far.
