Fans sign petition to remove Erling Haaland from Premier League on claims of him being a robot
Erling Haaland
A supporter has begun a petition to have Erling Haaland removed from Premier League because “it’s just not fair,”. The 22-year-old attacker signed a five-year contract earning a reputed £375,000 per week at the Etihad this summer after joining reigning Premier League champions Manchester City from Borussia Dortmund after the club agreed to pay his £64 million release clause.
And the Norwegian wonder Erling Haaland has already partially recouped that transfer fee thanks to an incredible debut season for Manchester. Haaland has scored 20 goals overall in his first 14 games under Pep Guardiola, including three back-to-back league-home hat-tricks.
Haaland scored twice against FC Copenhagen on Wednesday night in the Champions League group stage after eating his dad’s homemade lasagne. Pep Guardiola’s decision to switch out the striker at halftime prevented him from scoring another hat-trick.
In the upcoming days, weeks, and months, the former RB Salzburg player will undoubtedly be a pain in the sides of many teams throughout Europe. However, in a hilarious move to try and stop Haaland from wrecking world football, one supporter has created a petition to force a change.
A user wrote on the social media, “It’s just simply not fair, We can make a change. Now is the time for us people to act. This robot should not be allowed to carry on in our country.” The petition have 404,679 signatures as of this writing.

Erling Haaland is a nightmare for the rest of the clubs
After the final whistle, Jack Grealish claimed FC Copenhagen’s goalkeeper asked if the striker was human after he scored twice in Manchester City’s 5-0 Champions League thrashing. As we saw on Wednesday night, Haaland continued his hot streak in front of goal.
Haaland’s lethal finishing astounded Copenhagen’s Polish goalkeeper Kamil Grabara, who told Manchester City’s Jack Grealish after his second goal that “he’s not human” after it went in.
“It’s unbelievable honestly. I’ve never witnessed anything like it in my life,” Grealish told sources after Haaland’s heroics.
“For the first and second goals I was just laughing. He is always there. The keeper said something to me as I was walking back. He said ‘he’s not human!’ I said ‘you’re telling me?’ Hopefully he can carry on this form and take us to glory.”
