The famous game developer EA Sports has unveiled its new game EA Sports FC- Ultimate Edition cover. This is after the company broke it’s ties with FIFA, which now has prevented from using the game’s previous title in its newest iteration.

EA was synonymous with football games as the developer of the famous FIFA video game. But after the end of their deal with football’s governing organization, EA Sports confirmed their move to FC. It looked like a very similar game to FIFA but was just without the old title.

On Monday, the cover was launched for the Ultimate Edition of the forthcoming game – featuring over 30 of the game’s greats, past, present, and future. This would be the first edition of EA’s historic football franchise since the company parted ways with FIFA. Ever since ‘FIFA International Soccer’ was first released three decades back in 1993, over 100 million copies of the series were sold. Although now EA’s well-known football game will have to be renamed.

The poster of the new game consists of 30 well-known faces from the world of football. Manchester United‘s Marcus Rashford, Manchester City‘s Erling Haaland, and Real Madrid‘s Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Jr were all part of the poster. Along with the new gems, some of the iconic legends were also seen in the picture like Andrea Pirlo, David Beckham, and Johan Cruyff.

Last year it was reported by the New York Times that the huge tie-up between EA Sports and FIFA won’t be extended beyond the 2022/23 season. This was because of the failure of both parties to reach an agreement for the renewal.

FIFA reportedly earned around $150 million per year from EA Sports for the rights to use the organization’s official branding. However when the deal came up for renewal last year FIFA was looking to double the amount that it receives from its biggest commercial partner.

The latest contract between EA Sports and FIFA was signed in 2012 and much has changed in the last decade. With a new name on the board, fans will reportedly anticipate a lot of big changes in this new start.
