Turkish giants Galatasaray signed Argentine star Mauro Icardi on a permanent deal from Paris Saint Germain. Icardi was currently at the club on loan from the Ligue 1 giants for the past season. The Argentine’s brilliance won his team the Turkish Lig, resulting in the club wanting to sign him permanently.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Galatasaray have completed the signing of Icardi from PSG on a €10 million deal. Reports suggest that personal terms have been agreed between all the parties.
Icardi had a great season at Galatasaray last season. The Argentine striker made 26 appearances for the club and managed to score 23 goals while managing to clock 2,004 minutes on the pitch. He also managed to stay fit, which has always been the biggest concern with the Argentine. People close to the matter believe that injuries are one of the reasons why Icardi could not realize his sky-high talent.
PSG signed Icardi in a transfer worth €50 million from Inter Milan back in 2019. The striker made an instant impact at the club by scoring 20 goals in his first season. Although he soon fell down the pecking order after Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappé and Neymar Jr. became the first-choice set-up for the attack.
Icardi’s contract with PSG was due to expire at the end of next season. The attacker recently talked about his interest to stay at Galatasaray. He said, “I really want to stay in Istanbul. In Paris I was with the best in the world, but I didn’t hear anything on the street – here I see great interest in me.”

Fans mock Galatasaray as they sign Mauro Icardi on a permanent deal
Galatasaray have reportedly signed Mauro Icardi on a permanent deal from PSG. The Argentine striker had a great impact at the club having scored 23 goals in 26 games for the club in all competitions.
Fans have reportedly mocked Gala for signing Icardi. Many even took to social media for showing their emotions over the transfer. One fan wrote, “Don’t report on finished players.” Another fan wrote, “Another Inter Scam.” And a third fan wrote, “Oh wow, Galatasaray is going for Icardi? That’s cute. I hope they have a good refund policy because they’re gonna need it when he underperforms.”
