Prime energy drinks are set to be official hydration partners of FC Barcelona. This was after Gatorade and Barcelona’s sponsorship ended. Barcelona has moved rapidly to fill the void left by the large energy drink company after announcing a contract with Prime. Internet stars Oladije Olatunji, popularly known as KSI and Logan Paul co-founded Prime and serve as the faces of the brand.
“We are very proud to sign this sponsorship agreement with PRIME, a brand with major international projection and which is the result of the passion and dedication of its promoters, Logan Paul and KSI. This is also a strategic deal for the Club that will help to connect with younger audiences around the world,” said Juli Guiu, FC Barcelona Vice President for Marketing.
Financially speaking, the partnership is a boon for Barcelona, with Barcelona immediately in need of funds. Barcelona’s difficulties have been well-documented in recent years, therefore the club would appreciate a major financial gain. As Barca strives to resolve their financial mismanagement, this agreement is no different.
In the summer of 2022, Prime, which has found a lot of favor with younger viewers, will partner with Arsenal. The deal was described by KSI as “a dream come true.” Arsenal, who had been leading the premier league at the time of the sale, subsequently dropped to second and missed out on the championship, though. For the next three seasons, Prime will sponsor Barcelona.
