Borussia Dortmund find themselves top of the League. The club, managed by Edin Terzic propelled themselves to the top of the league after a win on Saturday. The die Schwarzgelben saw off Werder Bremen on a 1-0 narrow margin. The side clinched their 6th win in their last 10 games. Therefore, the club has accumulated a total of 20 points from their opening 8 games.

The club was faced with significant departures in the summer. The club is also often criticized for its ‘boring style of play’ and ‘lack of creativity’ while going forward. However, the side has managed to place themselves top of the table, ahead of favorites Bayern Munich, who are 4th with 17 points. Xabi Alonso and Bayer 04 Leverkusen are right behind with 19 points. They have also played a game less.

However, fans are apprehensive of this “Lucky” start to the season and have taken to Twitter to express their amusement. Moreover, the club has played 8 games, compared to 7 by every other team in the League, bar Bremen.

A quick inspection of the club’s upcoming games featuring Bayern Munich, Newcastle, Leverkusen, and Milan. “They’re not cooking a win for the next 10 games,” said a fan. “Our luck will run out sooner or later,” said an unoptimistic Dortmund fan. Moreover, the game in hand for every other club meant that they would be 4th by Sunday if all the other results went against them.

“They really fall short at the end, and it hurts a lot,” said a fan. The club was in pole position to lift the Bundesliga last season, until the last matchday. However, a slip-up at the last moment meant that Bayern clinched the title instead. Their only loss in their last 10 games came against PSG in the Champions League. Moreover, the club are last in their UCL Group and face Newcastle on Thursday.
