Chelsea failed to continue their winning run when they locked horns with Nottingham Forest. The Stamford Bridge side has secured only one victory in their last match against Bournemouth since Frank Lampard took charge as an interim coach. The team lost six of their eight games in all competitions. 

The visitors today took an early lead in the first quarter of the game. Taiwo Awoniyi headed a ball into the empty net from the cross received from Renan Lodi. The Nigerian forward won the race against the Chelsea keeper Kepa Arizabalaga to slot the ball into the back of the net.

The Blues found an early lead right after the first half of the game. Raheem Sterling received the ball from Trevoh Chalobah. The English forward converted the shot into an equalizer goal in the bottom right corner. Frank Lampard side found a lead five minutes after the first goal. Ruben Loftus Cheek makes a brilliant pass to Raheem Sterling. The former Manchester City forward took a shot in the upper right corner. Keylor Navas had no chance to save the shot. The English forward earlier said how he wanted to take Chelsea’s position as a challenge. The brace of the English forward validated his dedication for the team.

Nottingham Forest’s trail didn’t last for long. Steve Cooper team found a goal from Taiwo Awoniyi. The Nigerian forward found a brace after scoring another header from Orel Mangala’s assist.  Nottingham Forest would be happy with the draw yet fighting against relegation.

Fans react again to Chelsea’s bottling up their lead against Nottingham Forest while they lock horns in the Premier League game. The Frank Lampard team scores two goals which come from Raheem Sterling. The visitors also scored two goals to end with a draw. 

Fans took over to Twitter to show their upset after the Blues bottled their lead against Nottingham Forest. Some fans called the club ‘Dogsh*t‘. A fan commented hailing Taiwo Awoniyi, saying ‘ TAIWO AWONIYI of Nigeria single-handedly dismantled Chelsea today singlehandedly’ 

Fans even trolled coach Frank Lampard for the pathetic performance of the Todd Boehly club. One commented that Frank Lampard’s managerial career ‘might end’ after this season.

It is now a wait of time to see if Chelsea could secure a win in the next game against Manchester City. The Todd Boehly administration is even looking forward to a new permanent manager over Frank Lampard starting next season.
