The Premier League has managed to maintain its reputation of being unpredictable, with shocking results, surprising winners, and brilliant goals. This same precedent has caused trouble for Fantasy Premier League players, with inconsistent performers, injuries, and goal droughts. Gameweek 11 proved to be disastrous for several FPL coaches.

With many assets getting injured and important players going goalless, FPL managers are once again, dealt a blow by the League. Most capped players such as Erling Haaland, Mohammed Salah, and Son Heung-min did not perform as expected. Adding to the misery, Haaland, James Maddison, Dan Burn, and Matty Cash suffered injuries on the previous matchday.

Cristian Romero, Destiny Udogie, and Bruno Guimaraes are all unavailable due to suspension. The Tottenham players saw red against Chelsea while the Brazilian accumulated his 5th yellow for the season.

Alexis Mac Allister is also out of selection for the same reason. Moreover, there are several players with 4 yellow cards, meaning FPL managers will have to revisit their team selection very soon.

Fantasy Premier League: Notable injuries, suspensions and who to pick

Bruno Fernandes is performing consistently for the Red Devils. However, the Manchester United captain is one yellow away from suspension. Craig Dawson, Kai Havertz, and Joao Palhinha are other notable players who are close to suspension. Micky van de Ven and James Maddison are also doubts about GW 12.

Richarlison recently informed that he is set to undergo surgery; managers should consider replacing the striker as well. The present scenario calls for a change-up in selection for most FPL managers. Defenders Marc Guehi and Tyrick Mitchell look like stable replacements in defense, as Everton, Luton Town, West Ham United, and Bournemouth present themselves in their upcoming matches.

Erling Haaland however, is fit to play after a brief injury scare against Bournemouth. His performance against Young Boys offers hope for FPL managers. However, over 200,000 managers transferred Haaland out of their squad ahead of GW 12. Manchester City face Chelsea and Liverpool in their upcoming matches. Jeremy Doku however, offers a brilliant choice after notable performances in recent matches.
