Here are the top 5 captain picks for the Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 13, just in time before the deadline on Saturday, 26th November.

James Ward-Prowse (West Ham United): £6.1

James Ward-Prowse for years has been regarded as one of the best FPL assets to keep, During his time at Southampton, he was kept on free kick and corner duty, many times scoring or assisting. Things have not changed with him joining the Hammers after the Saint’s relegation. This season he has scored 2 goals and assisted 5 times.

West Ham face Burnley, who are currently at the bottom of the Premier League Table at the London Stadium. With such an easy fixture for the Hammers, Ward-Prowse should make it into any team.

Bukayo Saka (Arsenal): £8.7

Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka has started off his season really well, as he averages a G/A every 118.5 minutes. He is also the assigned penalty taker for the Gunners, already scoring 2 penalties. Arsenal are also the side to win the most penalties, with the team getting 6 penalties in 12 matches. Saka has scored 4 goals and assisted 4.

Arsenal travel to Gtech Community Stadium to play Brentford, where Arsenal have won in the previous two times. Mikel Arteta usually deploys Saka as a touchline winger, but the England Star does find a way to contribute either way.

Son Heung-min (Tottenham Hotspur): £9.7

One of the more expensive options, Son Heung-min has proven his mettle yet again as he scored 8 goals and has one assist. Starting the majority of the season as the striker, Son stands 3rd in the highest goalscorer list and he faces Aston Villa at home.

The Korean striker has once again outperformed his xG of 4.51, so it will make sense to keep the lethal forward in the team. Along with that, Villa have been one of the worst away sides in the league, conceding 12 goals in 6 matches.

Mohamed Salah (Liverpool): £13.0

Mohamed Salah loves playing against their fierce rivals Manchester City. The Egyptian has 11 goals and 5 assists in the 19 times he has faced Pep Guardiola’s side. Although he is facing the table toppers, Salah goes into this fixture with great form, with him scoring 10 and assisting 4 times so far this season.

But there will be challenges as he will be up against the 21-year-old Josko Gvardiol, who has only been dribbled past 0.4 times per game. Salah will look to lead his side to victory and take Liverpool to the top of the league.

Erling Haaland (Manchester City): £14.0

It is now an unwritten rule that Erling Haaland must be the captain of a manager’s FPL team, with over 82.4% of managers picking him. The Norwegian striker scored 36 goals in 35 appearances for City in 2022/23  and has continued his brilliant form in the current season, with 13 goals and 3 assists in 3 matches.

There is a little bit of doubt regarding Haaland starting, as he withdrew from international duty due to an injury to his ankle. It has been reported that the injury isn’t too serious, and the striker could face Liverpool on 25th November.
