FIFA President Gianni Infantino has taken it up to the press conference to talk about the whole Qatar situation amidst hosting the World Cup 2022 and has spoken about many things surrounding the event. However, the President didn’t hold back on expressing his views on the Potential host of the future event in North Korea.
The President who is set to be re-elected for a third term revealed that any nation is eligible to host the FIFA World Cup. Infantino gave an extended speech regarding the speculations about the Qatar World Cup, which is on the mark to start off. The speech carried his words that hit back at the same criticism that was sent their way when the host nations were announced, causing trouble in the media and fans.
FIFA’s sole motive was to unite the whole world, by bringing the sports competition to the doorstep of the crowd that wanted an international tournament, countries to fight their best to gain the top spot in the sport, and unity shall prevail amongst everyone, rising above hate.
Is the FIFA World Cup going to North Korea?
After Gianni Infantino’s proposal for the North Korean state to be the potential host for the future FIFA World Cup, the country is now amongst the favorites to host the big event. The country’s politics and rulership have been in question since time immemorial, and this could just be the revival.
The sort of angry protests for the current host is the mark that the world cup, is not something to be thrown towards anyone with laws polar opposite to the footballing community’s sole motto. The world cup won’t be a gift to North Korea and they must fight to attain their place in the bid.
