“Finally everything is done” – Mohamed Salah signs bumper new 3-year contract with Liverpool; set to earn £400,000/week

Mohamed Salah’s contract situation was one of Liverpool’s biggest headaches this summer. They had to tie down the Egyptian to a new deal or risk losing him for free next season.
Both parties had many failed negotiations as most thought Mohamed Salah would eventually leave the club. However, it seems the club finally caved to Salah’s demands as they reportedly offered him £400,000/week wages to make him stay at Anfield for longer.

Mohamed Salah set to become the second-highest-paid player in Premier League after new contract

Salah will become Liverpool’s highest-paid player in the club’s history with his new contract. Not only that, but the 30-year-old will also go level with Manchester City’s Kevin de Bryune to become the league’s second-highest-paid player with wages worth £400,000/week.
Only Cristiano Ronaldo will now earn more than Salah once his new contract is official. Liverpool posted on Twitter to announce that Mohamed Salah will sign his new contract until June 2025.
Speaking about the new contract, Moahmed Salah said, “I feel great and excited to win all the trophies with the club. It’s a happy day for everyone. Finally everything is done.”
Since joining, Mohamed Salah has transformed into one of the best wingers in the world. The Egyptian has been one of the most integral parts of Liverpool’s success over the last few years. And this is evident in the player’s output on the pitch.
In 254 games he’s featured in since joining, Mohamed Salah has scored 156 goals for the club while providing 63 more assists. He has also won the Premier League golden boot twice while finishing in the top 2, four times out of the 5 seasons.
Last season’s domestic double means that Mohamed Salah has now helped Liverpool in every major competition in Europe. The club have won the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, EFL Cup, Club World Cu and the UEFA Super Cup since 2017. While Salah could be getting his way in terms of his salary, the player has definitely done enough to prove that he is worth all that money.
