64 career hat-tricks, with the latest coming against Al-Tai in the Saudi Pro League at the age of 39! Cristiano Ronaldo is synonymous with goals in the sport. Despite being in the final stretch of his career, the Al-Nassr striker still came up clutch as he scored three goals to lead his side to a 5-1 victory against Al-Tai on Sunday. As always, the Portuguese superstar was showered with praise by fans and followers alike.

After ending 2023 with the highest number of goals in the world, Ronaldo has shown no signs of stopping in 2024 as well. His goal tally rose to 26 in the SPL and 32 overall. His first two goals of his hat-trick came in quick succession in the second half. His first came from a corner routine, after he successfully dropped his marker before exquisitely finishing a cutback from Sadio Mane.

His second came three minutes later, after the ball fell invitingly for him after deflecting off of the post. The No.7’s powerful shot went past a sea of legs before bulging out the back of the net.

His third and Al-Nassr‘s fifth of the game came in the 87th minute, when his teammate found himself at the far end of the post. The Al-Nassr captain comfortably leapt over his marker to head home the ball, thereby adding a 64th career hat-trick to his tally.

Fans react to Cristiano Ronaldo’s stunning hat-trick at the age of 39

Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo‘s most recent hat-trick has given his fans a wonderful reason to celebrate. Following a rather disappointing international break for the No.7, he came back with a bang, scoring three of his side’s five goals scored against Al-Tai. A fan commented that his career can be equated to the aging of fine wine, a definition fitting of someone who has only gotten better with age.

At the age of 39, Ronaldo leads the race for the golden boot in the Saudi Pro League. Another fan said that he is the best in the world, and undoubtedly so. Some even mocked Lionel Messi, asking when the Argentine last scored a hat-trick. Some said that Ronaldo didn’t even need a single penalty to do so, a clear dig at his Argentine rival.

However, rival fans didn’t remain silent either. A fan said that goals scored in the camel League didn’t count and that Ronaldo’s fans were trying to make their own happiness. Another chipped in, claiming that no matter what Ronaldo does in Saudi, he will never surpass Messi’s legacy in the sport. Despite his goal scoring prowess, Al-Nassr remain eleven points behind leaders Al-Hilal.
