Alan Shearer, a former Newcastle United player, holds a record of scoring 260 Premier League goals throughout his career. On the other hand, Harry Kane stands on 213 goals in total as an EPL player.

The former Premier League player says, “If Harry [Kane] wants to join Bayern, I’ll drive his f***ing car there myself; anything to protect my Premier League goalscoring record of 260 [goals]”. The center-forward is not pleased with the Tottenham Hotspurs forward’s coming closer to his record.

Alan Shearer played for Southampton, Blackburn, and Newcastle United scoring 260 Premier League goals in 441 games. He was also awarded three Golden Boots consecutively for being the league’s top scorer from the 1994-95 season to the 1996-97 season. He scored a total of 361 goals in his career in all tournaments.

Since then, the record set by Shearer was nowhere to be touched. No one came close to the number set by Shearer. Wayne Rooney, former Manchester United player, and the club’s all-time top scorer, was still 52 goals behind the unmatchable record. The English striker, Tottenham forward, is very close and is 47 goals away from the record, and what makes it fascinating is that Kane has more years coming to play, which can bring him closer, and he might even surpass the bar set.

Undoubtedly, having the name in records is difficult, and no wonder why the former player wants his name to be in it. Although the first bid by Bayern Munich was turned down by the Spurs because losing their star player is not what the club currently wants, keeping in mind the rough seasons that the club has gone through.

Harry Kane wants some trophies in his bag, and with Tottenham, it seems very difficult as the Spurs are going through rough trophyless seasons. The striker is far from pleased that despite the efforts, Tottenham has not won any trophies for the past 15 years.

The Englishman has his eyes on the Champions League, but qualifying and playing in the league is not enough. It will take more for Spurs to secure a trophy, and the club has hopes for their striker. The club does not want to let go of Kane, and it is clear as they have rejected the bid by the German club.
