Former Arsenal player Serge Gnabry may not make a heroic return to the Emirates after dumping Bayern Munich this season: Reports
Contrary to reports online, Arsenal are not at all interested in bringing back Serge Gnabry to the Emirates Stadium.
Serge Gnabry
Serge Gnabry began his professional career at Arsenal but was unable to establish himself as a first-team regular. As a result, Gnabry was sold to Werder Bremen after a string of relatively unsuccessful loan spells. When he returned to Germany, the winger was a success, earning a move to Bayern Munich. Previously, Daily Star reported that Arsenal was among the clubs interested in signing Gnabry.
Now, Arsenal, according to Fabrizio Romano in his latest tweet despite various reports, will not be pursuing him this summer. However, the trustworthy journalist has now debunked those rumours. As per his update on the winger, Arsenal aren’t interested in signing him, but it appears that they are pursuing other targets.

Instead, it seems Manchester City have taken a close look at Gnabry. Bayern Munich has offered the German winger a new contract, but he has yet to sign the new deal. If Gnabry refuses to sign a new contract, they may have to sell him this summer or risk losing him on a free transfer next year.
Gnabry was one of the integral parts of Bayern’s 2019/20 treble winning season. Therefore, it would be shocking to see him leave the Allianz Arena.
Do Premier League Champions Manchester City need Serge Gnabry?
Manchester City already have a long list of world-class attacking players at the Etihad Stadium but with Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus leaving, there is certainly room for the addition of Gnabry as well.
It would certainly be exciting to see the 26-year-old back in England as he’s improved so much since his Arsenal days. However, it’s hard to imagine he’d be an automatic starter in Guardiola’s side given that he’d be up against the likes of Phil Foden, Jack Grealish and Riyad Mahrez for a place in the team.
