Former Chelsea star reveals real reason behind team’s poor performance, says players have ‘lost soul’
The Former Chelsea centre-back has slammed the attitude of the Blues players.

Frank Leboeuf has commented on the recent performances of his former club. The 1998 World Cup winner played for the London Outfit from 1996-2001. Leboeuf won six major honours with Chelsea, including a UEFA Cup winners Cup in 1998.
Speaking to ESPN, Lebeouf ranted, “There is no soul, the players don’t want to play for the club.” He continued, “They don’t want to fight.” The Frenchman had previously criticized the performances of key players Raheem Sterling and Joao Felix in the club’s loss to Real Madrid.
The Blues are 11th in the Premier League, ten points off a European spot. The club have spent extravagantly in the transfer market but the players are yet to perform on the field. Chelsea will face Real Madrid at Stamford Bridge next. The Los Blancos already have a two-goal lead over the Blues and a loss for Chelsea would make it very difficult to achieve European football in the upcoming season.

Chelsea montioring young talent from Middlesborough

Chelsea is currently looking at Finley Cartwright, a midfielder from Middlesborough. The Blues will be looking to strengthen their midfield in the summer after a disastrous season.
Todd Boehly has put an emphasis on signing young talents since joining. Cartwright was born in 2006 and is one of the many names on the list at Chelsea to be brought in to improve the academy of the club.
The Blues have a history of signing players from other academies and strengthening them on loan. However, these youngsters seldom seem to work out and are usually moved on by the club for profit. With Boehly, things might work differently, and a strong emphasis on the youth might help the London club improve in the long run.
