Inter Milan striker, Lautaro Martinez, lashed out at Romelu Lukaku on Thursday. The Argentine bashed the ex-Inter player for his antics. Lukaku was on the verge of signing for Inter but also negotiated secretly with Arch rivals Juventus. This led to a lot of bad blood between Inter and Lukaku. Martinez recently revealed more about this episode.
“Lukaku? I was disappointed, it’s the truth. I also tried to call him in those days of chaos, but he never answered me, the same with my other teammates.” Martinez revealed. Lukaku not only left on bad terms with the board but seems like he spoilt his camaraderie with his former teammates.
Martinez said that he felt very disappointed by Lukau’s behavior. Lukaku and Martinez formed a great strike partnership. They played together for 3 years and Martinez believed Lukaku left abruptly and improperly. However, Martinez still wished him the best for his future.
Martinez still took a parting shot and said he did not expect this kind of behavior from Romelu Lukaku. He and the Inter team now look forward to the new campaign, without the Belgian striker. Meanwhile, Lukaku’s next destination hangs in the balance as Chelsea looks to sell the player but negotiations with other clubs have stalled.

Juventus to renew negotiations with Chelsea for the transfer of Romelu Lukaku
After Lukaku’s transfer to Inter Milan failed, Juventus showed urgent interest in buying the player from Chelsea. Negotiations between the club came to no conclusion much to Juevtnus’ chagrin. However, Juventus have reignited their interest in the Belgian forward.
The Blues value Lukaku at €40 million. The striker is up for sale as he is not in plans for the London club, ever since his comments targeted the club in 2021. Lukaku was then loaned to Inter Milan, but he botched relations over there as well as Lukaku secretly negotiated with rivals Juventus.
It seems now that Juventus will take the player on their team. They have sent Cristiano Giuntoli, the sporting director, to London to resume talks with Chelsea. Lukaku has offers from the Middle East but is looking to move to Juventus and play in Europe.
