Jesse Lingard, the former Manchester United player, was recently seen playing golf during his holidays. As he struggled and failed a few times, before eventually, hitting the perfect shot like he wanted. The funny video showed his frustration during the attempts.
Some fans joked on social media that his shots were as wide as his crosses for United. It still seems like Lingard has a long way to go before he can think of a professional career in golf, much like former Wales Superstar Gareth Bale.
Lingard has always been a person to be in good spirits no matter what. With links to Saudi Arabia, can the British footballer take his talents away from England and entertain fans in another league? While it might be a good move for him, many fans would tend to oppose this notion as he is just 30 years old. With at least a couple of years left under his belt to give for one of the World’s topmost leagues.
The video certainly doesn’t do justice to Lingard’s character, but he has always been a strong personality on and off the pitch. He has talked about mental health and how important it is for professionals to take some time off.
The poster boy story of Jesse Lingard
The Premier League has witnessed some memorable Lingard memories, from moonwalking in front of Arsenal and fans to his excellent stint at West Ham. However, whether or not he fulfilled his potential will always be a question.
Lingard has not been fortunate with managers at Manchester United, but he has been a showcase to one of the club’s changing periods. He even admitted to drinking during his last days with the club to deal with the pain. He had helped the club win the 2016 FA Cup after scoring in the final against Crystal Palace.
With his time in England potentially being ended, a move to another country sounds like the best choice. He can prove his mettle to the footballing world for the remainder of the years he has to offer.
