“Fought until the last day”- Real Madrid’s Toni Kroos reveals the coach who is ‘perfect’ for his style of play
Pep Guardiola and Toni Kroos
Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos spoke with the program Universo Valdano for an interview that will air on Thursday night. From there, they spread a brief passage from it in which the German spoke about the club president Florentino Perez, his work with Pep Guardiola at Bayern Munich, the departure of his recent teammate Casemiro to Manchester United, and the upcoming World Cup, in which he will not be participating.
Toni Kroos said: “Guardiola fought until the last day to stay at Bayern. If I had to choose one coach who is perfect for my style of play, it would be Guardiola. I really enjoyed my year with him and improved a lot.”
Toni Kroos spent a brief time playing for Bayern Munich in his native Germany prior to joining Real Madrid in 2014 .The German, who was a crucial member of Pep Guardiola’s squad, partnered up well in midfield with his then-countryman Bastain Schweinsteiger. One season after Guardiola’s arrival, Kroos quit Bayern. Guardiola also left soon after and joined Manchester City in 2016.

Real Madrid Toni Kroos received his career’s first red card against Girona
1-1 tie between Real Madrid and Girona saw Toni Kroos receive his first professional red card. It was a record that persisted throughout his 15-year career before it was ultimately broken in injury time when he was issued a second yellow card.
Vinicius Junior had given Madrid the lead, but 10 minutes from time, Cristhian Stuani’s penalty knocked them back. The current Spanish and European champions had a Rodrygo goal ruled out by VAR in the 90th minute, which made for a miserable evening for them.

As a result, they maintain their lead over rival Barcelona, who defeated Valencia last night, by a point. The actual news, though, concerns Kroos, 32, who was sent off for the first time since a Bayern Munich U19 game before turning professional.
When he appeared to block a counterattack in extra time, he was given his second yellow card. The German didn’t claim innocence and went off with a wry smirk. Perhaps he only comprehended that he would receive his marching orders for the first time in 15 years a few moments after the tackle.
