Galatasaray fans show a cryptic message banner to Wanda Nara upon her arrival in Turkey along with Mauro Icardi

Wanda Nara and Mauro Icardi were enthusiastically greeted by the crowd during their trip to Istanbul. The couple had gone there to complete Icardi’s impending transfer to Galatasaray. When they arrived at the airport, a crowd of fans gave a message to the couple holding a huge banner. It said, “Get well soon Wanda Nara.”

The Argentine model has been facing numerous health issues since the last month. She was supposed to undergo a spinal Tap procedure. The specific details were not confirmed by any of the parties involved. However, the matter once looked serious as she was rumored to be fighting for her life. It was also said that Mauro Icardi might be taking her to Turkey for better treatment of her condition. But those reports turned out to be far-fetched.

While the couple might be in Istanbul for her treatment, the model is said to be in good condition now. Her family including her sister Zaira Nara has been in close contact with her ever since she was admitted to the hospital in June. After she was released the day after, her condition was considered to be not that serious.

Icardi is also in Istanbul to complete his move from PSG to Galatasaray. He was on loan with the Turkish club last season. The player enjoyed a largely successful spell with the club as they won the league title with him. He managed to score 22 goals and provide 7 assists in 24 games. Hence, he proved to be a great signing for them. They were in no mood of letting him go and have thus signed him permanently this summer.

Galatasaray could replace Mauro Icardi with Joaquin Correa

Galatasaray could sign Inter flop Joaquin Correa as a replacement for Mauro Icardi, in the event that the latter is released prematurely. Icardi is a well-regarded former Inter player himself. He joined PSG in 2019 but struggled to live up to the high standards set by his previous achievements.

He was loaned to Galatasaray last season where he recaptured his form and led them to a league title. The Turkish club have now made his signing permanent but could let go of him this summer itself.

Joaquin Correa could be the favorite to replace him in that case- the player who joined Inter from Lazio. He has not been able to make an impact there, while also failing to get in the manager Inzaghi’s good books. He has barely got any appearances due to the involvement of Lautaro Martinez. As a result, Correa could be expected to sign for the Turkish giants if they are to push for him.
