Apart from being one of the smartest footballers of his generation, Thomas Muller is also a huge comic. The german loves to laugh and joke around when he is not busy lifting titles with Bayern Munich.
Funnily enough, that’s what Thomas Muller has been doing in his summer break. UEFA recently posted a picture of David Beckham using his feet and a football to make a golf shot and captioned it, “Pick one player who’s a lock to make this shot”.
While many named Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and others, Thomas Muller was quick to respond with the name of none other than Gareth Bale. The Welshman made a name for himself a few seasons back when he chose to golf over playing for Real Madrid.
“I love to golf at Los Angeles” – Gareth Bale on his free transfer to LA FC.
Gareth Bale recently made a permanent switch from Real Madrid to MLS, signing for Los Angeles FC. The Welshman ended his 9-year stint at Real Madrid to start a new chapter in America.
Bale had said in an interview back in 2020 that he would love to play in the MLS and especially for Los Angeles since he loves the city and loves to golf there. Funnily enough, he is Thomas Muller’s first choice to take a golf shot with the football.
Thomas Muller on the other hand looks set to end his career at Bayern Munich. At 32, the player is showing no signs of slowing down, ending last season with 12 goals and 22 assists in 44 appearances.
The German has been at Bayern Munich throughout his football career. Since his debut in 2008, the player has gone on to make 626 appearances for the club. Scoring 227 times and assisting a further 243 times. Muller is often regarded as one of the most underrated attackers of the last decade.
