Former footballer Gary Lineker advises Harry Kane to consider joining Bayern Munich this summer. The German Champions have shown interest in signing Kane from Tottenham Spurs, and despite having their initial bids rejected, they have presented one last offer. Kane, who is yet to win any trophies in his career, faces a decision that could potentially shape his future in football.

Kane is a prolific striker with an impressive record of 280 goals, making him the highest-ever scorer for his club. He holds the record for the most goals scored by an England national team player with 58 goals in 84 games. In the Premier League, he has 213 goals, just 47 goals behind the all-time record holder, Alan Shearer. This is the main reason why he is hesitant about joining Bayern Munich this summer.

Lineker, a Spurs legend himself said, “I think Harry will leave Tottenham – and he should do. The time is right for him, and the right club has come in for him. Munich is a lovely city and Bayern are one of the great clubs in world football. The game is about winning team honors rather than individual records and that is what Harry needs.”

Becoming the greatest goalscorer in Premier League history is a huge feat that legends like Wayne Rooney, Thierry Henry, and Sergio Aguero have failed to achieve. If he achieves this, his name will be etched in English history forever. However, despite Kane’s individual success he is yet to win a single trophy for club or country. This is the reason why Gary Lineker has urged the player to leave Spurs this summer.

Harry Kane’s transfer to Manchester United breaks down

At the start of the window, it was expected that Manchester United would bid for Harry Kane. The English club who finished third last season was in desperate need of a striker.

Their goalscoring endeavors heavily relied on Marcus Rashford who scored 30 goals last season. Bringing in Kane would have solved that issue. It would have also been suitable for Kane as it would have provided him the chance to both win trophies and become the highest goalscorer in Premier League history.

However, due to Spurs’ reluctance to sell the player and United’s limited transfer budget, the move fell through. Instead United went on to buy Rasmund Hojlund from Atlanta in that position.
