Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville are set to witness their respective former clubs face off on Sunday. The duo shared a hilarious moment on live television as Carragher wore a ‘jumper’ with pictures and artwork that did not amuse his co-host, Gary Neville. Carragher sported a jumper that had a graphic of the two sharing a conversation.

Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville have been covering Premier League matches for Sky Sports for as long as fans can remember. The duo share massive chemistry on the touchline, keeping fans on their toes with their quirky comments and sly digs at each other. While Neville wore the Manchester United kit for over 20 years, Carragher was a loyal Liverpool servant for 20 years.

As he greeted the viewers to their pre-match show, Neville said that Carragher’s jumper “smells of arrogance“. “Confidence” corrected the latter as a wry smile appeared on his face. “This is the surest path to failure” claimed Neville as he called for United players to take note of the same.

Carragher’s jumper read “Oh i wish I could relieve this everyday” and “When the kop starts singin’ & the Red’s begin to play“. The jumper also shows an elated Carragher laughing at an unimpressed Gary Neville.

Erik ten Hag says being sacked is ‘no concern’

Manchester United are up against Liverpool on Sunday as fans are forced to relive memories of a 7-0 thrashing in March. A highly inconsistent season, followed by group-stage elimination from the Champions League has Erik ten Hag‘s position at the club lying in the balance. When asked what gives him the confidence and backing, he replied that the club has told him so and that losing his job “is no concern of mine“.

He added that making the team play better and the individuals perform better is the task at hand. Ten Hag also stated that he’ll put together a team that can ‘challenge’ and win against Liverpool. He also stated “I haven’t seen last season that we were scared there” in response to whether his players were afraid of the tie. Even though a 7-0 score line looms above United heads, Ten Hag promised that it won’t happen again. A stern “No” was what he had to say about the result repeating itself.

United will take to the pitch at Anfield missing a total of 9 players, either due to suspension or injury. Bruno Fernandes, Harry Maguire, Casemiro, and Christian Eriksen will all sit out the game on Sunday. Liverpool are currently top of the Premier League and a win would see them go four points clear of second place Arsenal. United are currently out of the top 5 (6th place) , with 27 points in 16 games.
