Manchester United legend Gary Neville had some harsh words for his former club. Speaking to Sky Sports, he spoke his mind on where the Red Devils might finish in the league. In a passionate rant about his club, Neville said that the club is ‘failing’. He said, “You end up not knowing who the good guys and bad guys are.” Moreover, he questioned United’s stability in terms of its owners.

Gary Neville also said there are players who’ve been at the club a long time. However, he added that there were a few good players that have been brought into the club as well. He also praised players who’ve come up through the ranks. Further, he pointed out the lack of “stability” at the club similar to what David Beckham had said earlier during the Qatar GP. “I don’t think Manchester United will finish in the top 5 this season,” said Neville, pointing to the club’s current state.

More shockingly, Neville said that he had United finishing third, 7 or 8 weeks ago. But his former club’s recent run of poor performances, losing 6 of their last 10 games, led him to say this. Currently, the Red Devils are 10th in the Premier League.

Moreover, consecutive losses in the Champions League have placed United last in Group A. Erik ten Hag has a monumental task at his hands after the International break.

Manchester United set to offload Jadon Sancho after row with Erik ten Hag

Jadon Sancho has been suspended by the club after a fallout with Erik ten Hag. The 23-year-old publicly claimed on social media that he was unfairly being made a scapegoat. He also asked the public to not believe what was being said about him. Following the incident, Sancho has been training away from the squad. His return to United is also in the balance.

As of recently, reports suggest that the club is set to subsidize the player’s £300K-per-week salary. Moreover, United may also choose to loan the player off in the January transfer window. Borussia Dortmund and Juventus are in contention for the player. However, the £60 million asking price seems too high to be met by the clubs. Sancho last played for the club in August.

According to reports, Erik Ten Hag has told club Management that player mentality has improved in Sancho’s absence. Sancho’s unwillingness to apologize to Ten Hag saw him banished from the first team. It is understood that Sancho’s time at United is running out. The player may very well be on his way out of the club in January.
