British player turned pundit Gary Neville is known for his critical approach while talking about the current prime minister of the United Kingdom. Recently Rishi Sunak took to the social media platform X to voice his support for Luke Humphries after his victory over Luke Littler in the World Darts Championship final.
However, it did not go down well with the Manchester United legend. He reacted with a series of laughing emojis and sarcastically hinted at his dislike of Sunak’s policies. The Prime Minister from the Conservative Party praised Humphries, known as ‘Cool Hand Luke’, marking his first World Championship triumph.
The Member Of Parliament from Richmond, Yorkshire, appreciated both the players, expressing his belief in their future as sports leaders. But Nevill’s response to this did not sit well with the netizens and Twitter users who in turn just started trolling the former United player.
Meanwhile, Rishi Sunak recently made the headlines in football by appearing at Southampton’s game. He was unfortunately met with a displeased response from manager Russell Martin.

Neville, a vocal critic of the Conservative government, accused the UK government of ‘demonizing’ striking NHS and rail workers during ITV’s World Cup final coverage in Qatar. Sunak defended his government’s support for the NHS, emphasizing the pandemic-era public sector pay freeze.
