Georgina Rodriguez, the girlfriend of Cristiano Ronaldo, has received significant backlash for apparently showing disrespect towards Dolores Aveiro, the mother of the Portuguese footballer. This incident took place during the birthday party of Ronaldo’s son, Cristiano Ronaldo Jr., held at their Madrid home.

Dolores Aveiro attended the event with her partner Jose Andrade. However, instead of staying at her son’s house along with the rest of the family, she along with her partner opted to stay at La Finca, a luxurious 5-star hotel in Madrid.

After the event, Georgina posted pictures from the party on her Instagram account but left out Cristiano Ronaldo’s mother from any of the photos. On the other hand, Dolores, on June 22, shared a video of the celebration on her own Instagram account. The video showed mainly Dolores standing while most of the people including Georgina were sitting.

In reaction to the video, several commentators on the Portuguese talk show Noite das Estrelas criticized Georgina for sitting while Dolores Aveiro stood. One of the commentators expressed their disapproval, saying, “What bothers me the most is that while Georgina is seated with the children, Dolores Aveiro is standing far away. It doesn’t seem right to me.”

Georgina Rodriguez has not been best friends with the Real Madrid legend’s mother, as far as rumors go. It has recently resurfaced that the reason for it might be because of Georgina’s disregard for a painting that Dolores Aviero really liked. It happened when Georgina Rodriguez moved in with Cristiano Ronaldo in their house in La Finca.

Cristiano gave her complete freedom to decorate the house so that Georgina feels comfortable living in it. She is said to have made many changes in the look of the household. One of which did not sit well with Dolores Aveiro.

A large painting of Cristiano along with his mother was placed above the fireplace in the living room. This was apparently removed and kept in the garage by Georgina. This was replaced by a painting of herself. This created a rift between both of them.
